2024 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS - are CLOSED

You MUST be able to attend the Special Awards Recognition Event to be held on November 9, 2024 at 7:00PM at the Hiller Air Museum on the San Carlos Airport

Applications for up to FOUR $2,000.00 scholarships are now being accepted. Application deadline is 11:59pm, Sunday, October 6, 2024. We will be awarding them to outstanding college level Aviation students during a special awards recognition event.

To qualify the applicants must:

• Be enrolled in an Aviation program at a Northern California college or university.
• Be a sophomore (30 semester units completed) or above
• Have completed at least 15 semester units in Aviation courses
• Have an overall GPA of at least 2.5
• Must be able to attend the special awards recognition event on 4th November 2023 at 7:00PM

To apply:

You will need to complete our online application form (at the bottom of this page). Before beginning the form, be prepared to answer the following questions and attach a copy of your transcript and a clear, professional photo in jpg format, that can clearly be enlarged to an 8" x 10" print, roughly 1536 x 1024 pixels.

Plan ahead! Please do not rush! Once you begin the application you cannot stop

Review and prepare a response to each question

Have a digital copy of all of your transcripts ready for upload. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.

Spelling, grammar, cohesion & answering the question is considered in the application review process. Recommended to have someone review your answers prior to submission.

Scholarship Applicant Questions:

Personal Data:

• Name
• Email Address
• Phone Number
• Current GPA

Academic Data:

• High School from which you graduated and graduation date
• All colleges attended (name of college and GPA at that college)
• Special awards, honors or recognition received during high school or college
• Organizations or activities in which you participate (especially those in which you serve or have served a leadership role)

Short Essays:

• Describe your involvement with organizations and/or external activities in which you participated (include dates) and served on leadership roles?
• Describe your aviation experience (FAA certificate & ratings, work, internships, etc.)
• Briefly describe how you became interested in the aviation field. In which area of aviation do you want to specialize and why?
• Outline how you will pursue your aviation career from your college education to your ultimate aviation goal. Note the milestones or steps and dates, identifying obstacles and how you plan to overcome them. Be specific.
• How are your schooling and aviation pursuits financed? What effect will receipt of this scholarship have on these efforts?
What other skills, abilities, and qualities do you possess that the Committee should consider?
• Why should you be selected over others that apply?

Files you will need to Upload:

• Copy of Transcripts; Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
• High-resolution photo of yourself in .jpg format. 1536 x 1024 pixels it will be enlarged to an 8" x 10" print. The photo should be professional and will be used in the presentation and in future scholarship presentations. Photo must not be a group shot.
